Regardless of what others think

For the full context of this post read Matthew 12: 1-5 and John 3: 1 - 21.

The religious leaders of Jesus's day were not fans of Jesus. The Bible records several instances in which the Pharisees were plotting against Jesus. Jesus knew what the Pharisees thought of him and he knew what they were plotting to do to him, yet it did not stop him from doing what he was sent to earth to do. Because of his unwavering commitment to do what was right, regardless of what others thought, some Pharisees, such as Nicodemus, put their faith in Christ as the Messiah.

Living for Christ is not always popular. There are moments in which we find ourselves surrounded by people who aren't our fans and who may be plotting against us. That should not be our concern. We should not allow the thoughts of others to steer our faith. On the contrary, as we continue to follow Christ, our unwavering commitment to him still has the potential to change the hearts and minds of others. Today, let’s focus on what God has called us to do and not on the opinions of others.

Thank you for sharing this! This is important as we live day to day with Him! Always best to fear and love God than to fear and obey what humankind says!
